Boiler service
What to send first
- 1
What make and model is the boiler?
- 2
When was it last serviced?

Is anything wrong with it at the moment, or is this a routine service?
A yearly service keeps a boiler safe, efficient and less likely to break down in the first cold week of winter. Andrew opens the boiler up, inspects and cleans the burner and heat exchanger where needed, checks the seals, and tests the gas pressure and the flue.
What a service includes
He takes a combustion reading with a flue gas analyser, checks the condensate trap and pipe, the expansion vessel charge, system pressure, ventilation and the safety devices, then runs the boiler on heating and hot water to make sure it behaves as it should.
After the visit
You will know what condition the boiler is in and whether anything is likely to need attention soon. If the radiators are slow to warm or the system water is dirty, he may suggest a power flush. If you let property, ask about booking a landlord gas safety inspection at the same time.
